- My history is not displaying correctly:
-
Try setting File -> actual projection to x_proj and y_proj.
- I’ve already defined the correct projection associated with DNRGPS, but I’m adding a duplicate of the projector screen definition when loading the actual shapefile:
-
There are many ways to refer to the same projection in general, and sometimes it’s hard to imagine, several different descriptions can actually refer to the same projection. This happens at most once for each unique new projection definition.
- I get a “type-initializer” error when I try to load files from or to files:
-
This problem used to be solved by restarting the computer.
- Live tracking not working with my Garmin:
-
If your Garmin model also switches to fast storage mode when plugged in, you will need to put it into dongle mode. For more information, see Menu in real time.
- My old tracks are not showing up in the “Track” menu ->”Download”:

The new firmware adds the ability to automatically archive track-only logs for many Garmin handheld GPS devices. This is different from manually recording a new good active track named in the track. Use FROM UPLOAD the pressure archive.gpx file and the Garmin subdirectory. Once the file is completed, it will SAVE IT TO.
in a different format.
I encountered a new error when converting plots to a shapefile on a Garmin 60CSx and projecting them to my ArcGIS update. uploading
I’m using MapSource to .gpx the tracks and upload them to their Garmin dnr. i
I then paste the NAD 83 zone into it and save it as a real shapefile. I then open ArcGIS 9.3 and then load my To project to overlay this new file.
Whenever you add this shapefile to my project to overlay my topographic maps and other ranges (which are also projected to 83 and 13), the road surface area of the shapefile is projected into the center section out of nowhere. This is also much less than the actual distances that experts say theyovercome in the field. i When I measure sp, they say they are less than a meter long and should be in miles!
This is not a mistake of the reconnaissance vehicle and I positively have nowhere to fight! Thank you in advance.
1) ArcMap and add all data in Michigan GeoRef coordinates to a new map. Do
2) ArcToolbox visible, expand Data Tools > Entity Projections and Transforms > > and double-click the new design tool to open it. You can also open a search box (Windows > Search Or Ctrl-F), so look for the Project (Data Management) tool.
3) Select the map requested in the As gps input and make sure the coordinate system entered is NAD_1983_Michigan_GeoRef_Meters. Choose your locale and name the output with your information (maybe add WGS84 to the end of the filename). You are almost guaranteed to save the shapefile as well as the geodatabase feature classes. Click the Spatial Reference Properties icon to select the output coordinate system. Expand “Geographic systems koordinat”, then world”, “And select “WGS From 1984”.
Advice. If you right-click this projection definition (or any other) and select “Add to Favorites”, it will be easier to find in the future.
4) Tool in press trab, OK. Your new projected plan will be added to the map after the tool completes. You can check the projection of your new layer by entering its properties and viewing the Source tab. If everything went well with the system, your projection coordinates should be GCS_WGS_1984.
5) Start DNRGPS. Select > File Download > File From and navigate to the shapefile you just saved. Once you select it, click Open. Make sure most of the Latitude values at the top of this y_proj are the same, Longitude and x_proj are the same, and Projection: no projection is shown at the bottom of the window. If some values are different or the name of the screener is displayed, then something was set incorrectly in the previous maneuver and DNR-GPS is converting organized coordinates into non-projected, possibly incorrect coordinates…
6) Connect the GPS and turn it on. You should see a messageNot about approaching at the top where the windows are, your GPS is now connected. If not, make sure GPS is turned on, check your cable, and select GPS > Connect to default GPS by. this If it doesn’t help, try to find > GPS.
